On Wednesday 3 April 2019 the Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Samia Chaudhary, awarded Chiswick Oasis founder Andrea Carnevali at the Community Champion Reception in the Mayor’s Parlour in Hounslow Civic Centre.
The award recognises individuals who have carried out outstanding work in the Hounslow community.
Carnevali had been nominated by your Ward Councillors, Councillor Joanna Biddolph, Councillor Ranjit Gill and Councillor Ron Mushiso for his outstanding work in the Community.
Carnevali said: “I’m humbled and a bit bemused about this recognition. Ironically it’s all happening while the country is about to vote to leave the European Union, making it impossible for people like me to come to this country the way I did”.
